Celebrate the fens day 2020: update due to covid19
Thank you so much for your interest in Celebrate the fens day 20th June 2020. Just to reassure you, the day will still be going ahead.
If the current lockdown is still in place, we will be doing a virtual celebration, where we would be inviting venues/groups/organisations/individuals in the fens to get involved, ideas can include: creating a blog, video clip, virtual tour, photos or social media posts for #CelebrateTheFens. So please start thinking if you would to get involved in this, and keep us updated of your involvement.
If however, the current lock down is lifted, then we hope many of the planned activities will still be able to take place, depending on any restrictions. Unfortunately, the Babylon Gallery photo exhibition will not be taking place this year, as entries would need to be called for during lockdown. Also unfortunately the Cambridge open studios pop up gallery at Wicken Fen, will not be taking place.
Please also note we have a provisional date for Celebrate the fens day 2021: Saturday 19th June is likely to be the main day, but we are thinking about letting the celebrations last the whole weekend for more exploring. Please get in touch if you want to know more.
